included Essential Oil Monographs By Martin WattThis information resource is probably the most accurate and referenced collection of the properties of 57 Essential Oils ever published. As a qualified herbalist, this helped me to differentiate between therapeutic claims based on herbal extracts, or on the essential oils from the same plant. Most claims based on herbal extracts have been eliminated. For
people in the medical profession
a particularly useful feature is a micro-organisms
cross-referencing system. This allows a particular organism
to be found in an A-Z index - the reference to the
oil affecting that organism can then be found in the monographs.
The
information provided in the monographs is sufficient to
produce advanced Material Safety Data Sheets.
Some oils may only be 3 pages long because I could not find sound therapeutic information on them. Others, such as Rosemary, are 15 pages and almost a book in themselves. Contents: Botanical
name. Total database
aprox. 354 A4 pages in black and white text.
